As there are different variations of poker, the rules also slightly differ. These guys mention five common games that people cannot get enough of. For starters, we have Texas Hold’em and Omaha. These two are fairly similar with your goal aimed at getting the highest five-card hand. In Texas Hold’em, you get two cards dealt face down, and you pick your remaining cards from the visible community cards. In Omaha, you have to use two out of four cards dealt to you, and two from the center. Razz and Seven-card Stud are also similar but with opposite tactics. In Razz, you want the lowest hand and in Seven-card Stud, the highest. There are no community cards; instead you use five out of the seven cards dealt to you ‒ three cards are dealt down and four cards up. Eight-or-better is the last game and here you try to go for both the lowest and the highest hand, and each hand wins half the pot.
